With 11 branches nationwide, including locations at Dublin, Limerick, Sligo and Wexford, along with their busy eCommerce website, Shoe Rack needed a robust EPOS system. A robust EPOS for Irish fashion retailers
The Meridian Retail system provides all the functionality the client requires, including extensive reporting, stock management and customer management. Along with this, the multibranch management functionality provides the ability to control all branches from head office including stock levels, pricing, tills and live sales reporting.
A strong EPOS system was required so that Shoe Rack could develop their online business alongside their nationwide stores. Having an EPOS system integrated with their eCommerce site was also a high priority for them and our Omnishop system allowed their website which is built on Magento to connect with their existing stock, pricing and reporting information.
Having up to date information is key for ensuring that stock levels on the website accurately reflect their warehouse stock. It was also important that the system could work with all the payment methods required for a diverse online channel, including Paypal, Visa and Mastercard.
Evolving EPOS functionality
Strong customer service is paramount to staying ahead of the competition and retaining customers. 57% of consumers say that excellent customer service is a factor in brand loyalty; with that in mind it is important to provide customers with the shopping experience and method they require. Due to the Meridian Retail platform being developed in-house, we have agility and flexibility that other providers and resellers simply do not have, allowing us to respond to new market trends.
Alongside online and traditional shopping, we also developed click and collect functionality for the system. Click and collect was a value added service we rolled out for Shoe Rack in 2021, that is now a requirement by customers since the pandemic.
